Are Your First Aid Skills Still Sharp Enough to Save a Life?

It’s easy to assume your certification is enough—but when emergencies strike, outdated skills can cost lives.

You’re Certified, But Are You Ready?
Many people don’t realize how quickly first aid knowledge fades. Even if your certificate is still valid, your ability to respond effectively may not be. Confidence in emergencies comes from regular practice—not just passing a course once every few years.

Know When to Refresh Your First Aid Training
In most cases, first aid certifications are valid for three years. However, many safety experts and regulatory bodies recommend refreshing your training sooner—especially CPR, which should be practiced annually to stay effective.
Here’s a simple guideline:

  • Refresh CPR skills every 12 months

  • Review full first aid training every 1–2 years

  • Renew your certificate before the 3-year expiry

Doing so ensures you stay prepared, meet workplace safety standards, and maintain peace of mind on and off the job.

Stay Current. Stay Confident.
Don’t wait until an emergency to find out if your skills are still up to par. Refresh your training regularly and be the person others can count on when it matters most.
